Methodology
How we measure accuracy
Podium & points accuracy
Once a race is official, predictions are graded against the classified result. Our headline number is a podium-weighted blend (60% podium, 40% points) of how many of the right drivers the model placed in the top three and the top ten, alongside how often it called the actual race winner. Mean position error and within-three figures are shown too, for full transparency.
Live vs published
"Live" means the race weekend is currently in progress — practice, qualifying or the race itself is happening as you read this. Forecasts are time-stamped so you always know how fresh they are.
Why we re-train weekly
The model takes the latest data into account every weekend so that recent form, car upgrades, and weather patterns inform the next forecast without manual intervention.
